For a long time, we have been giving uppermost importance to the regional origins of our raw materials.
Our brewery is situated in the natural reserve of the Diemel valley. This unique location in the Diemel meadows was the driving force behind the environmentally friendly concept and construction of our new brewery. All systems are designed for a high degree of resource efficiency and environmental protection.
Kohlschein family holds the town right to brew from 1721 and the brewing tradition devolves from generation to generation.
Warburg is a picturesque town in eastern North Rhine-Westphalia, the region of central-west Germany.
As a family brewery, we are committed to traditional craft brewing. During the production of our beers, we give priority to handwork wherever possible over sophisticated machines and computer controlled processes.
The experience and the skills of our brewing master and his supporting brewers count for us more than the information transmitted by computer sensors. Our beer is living “handmade” food, not simply an anonymous and sterile industrial product.
